TII Receives 2002 United
Technologies Supplier Excellence Award
Madison,
AL – Triana Industries Incorporated (TII), a
minority-owned manufacturer of electrical and mechanical
assemblies since 1972, was recently awarded the 2002
MBE Supplier Excellence Award by United Technologies
Corporation (UTC) based in Hartford, CT.
TII
was selected to receive this honor as a result of
its exemplary performance, outstanding customer service,
and overall partnering with UTC and its divisions.
“To receive recognition from one of your customers
is one of the highest honors you can achieve. For
the last 30 years, we have prided ourselves on delivering
world-class quality products and total customer satisfaction
is our top priority. So, this honor compliments both
our products and our philosophy,” stated Ralph
Malone, TII President and CEO. The award was presented
to TII at an inaugural recognition ceremony during
the Minority Business Exchange held at the United
Technologies Research Center in East Hartford, CT.
TII,
who was recently named Alabama’s 2002 Medium-Size
Manufacturer of the Year, has built a reputation as
a quality manufacturing supplier and is rapidly becoming
a leader in electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly.
TII provides a major economic boost to the Triana,
Madison and North Alabama areas by employing a staff
of nearly 200 workers.
TII,

to improving standards in quality, cost, delivery,
and service as well as to building long term relationships
